I have been a long time patient of Dr. Masha Mirkin's dental office here in Pacific beach. I don't like going  to the dentist,  but coming to Dr. Mirkin's dental office she makes you feel @ ease & she is a great Doctors as in the work she does is very high quality like the crown she treated me has lasted over 10 years and still strong, the fillings  I have had done is very good quality.  She seems very conservative she doesn't charge as much as other dental office. she has been  practicing dentistry for over 17 years yes she very well  experienced, she is  kind, very informative down to earth and she really takes care of my teeth that's why I continue to have her as my dentist, thank you Dr. Mirkin for taking care of my teeth. The front desk manager Haikela is very helpful returns my calls always answers all my questions, shes really cool

Professional, thorough, highly competent, personable. Dr. Marsha may be the best dentist I've ever had. I was impressed with her patient care and her methodical, holistic approach to dentistry. Most dentists set you up in an assembly line of dental hygienists, x-ray techs and dentists. Dr. Masha does it all so that she can have a more complete, comprehensive and in-depth understanding of your individual situation. She's a caring artisan in a world of impersonal automatons. I really like Dr. Mirkin. She is very straightforward and to the point. She will also give you pricing on procedures before going through them. I had a previous dentist who would sneak in extra elements so she could bill more, but Dr. Mirkin doesn't seem like the type to do that. I also very much liked the fact that she was the one to actually clean my teeth versus a dental hygienist. She spent time talking with me a explaining what was going on with my teeth and gums. I had three cavities filled by Dr. Mirkin. Their locations were well enough exposed that she could easily access them and recommended that I don't get the Novocaine shot and it was a completely pain free experience. I'd highly recommend Dr. Mirkin.

I just moved into the PB neighborhood and needed to find a local dentist. A Groupon discount helped me make the choice. My former dentist was overstaffed, expensive and addressed my dental issues as if they were psychological problems.

I soon found out that Dr. Mirkin is a no nonsense dentist who does a thorough job of diagnosis, is passionate about her work and who isn’t afraid to call it as it should be.

“Preserve what you have,” she said as we discussed my 72 year old set of teeth with several root canals and partially decaying crowns. “Your teeth aren’t bad but you have thirty years left in you and you have to take care of them. You grind them at night, you need a night guard and we will address the sensitivity in those lower teeth as it increases.”

She did the cleaning herself—and it was deep, even though the coupon only required a standard cleaning.

Dr. Mirkin received her doctorate in Moscow, immigrated to the US in the 90s, became a dental assistant as she trained to get her license in the US and began her current practice in PB in 1998.

Only one visit, but I highly recommend her—and her staff of one (at least when I showed up for a 9:45 appt.)

And I’ll always remember “Preserve what you have”—in a deep Russian accent.

The gal in the front office is very pleasant and went beyond her duties (I feel) by making several calls to my dental insurance and previous dentists to obtain necessary info. Overall a wonderful experience and I'll be going back in the future.

I had avoided going to the dentist for years due to previous bad experiences. Dr. Mirkin was compassionate, patient, gentle and professional. She genuinely listened to my concerns and I never felt like she was recommending unnecessary treatments or procedures. Dr. Mirkin, first I must say, good at her job. That's what you want right? Someone who knows what

they are doing. Sure it is. But as an added bonus you also get a caring wonderful women. I am so

My first tie at her office, I thought it was strange that she did the dentistry work without an assistant. However, she has her own routine and I have become comfortable with it. Dr. Mirkin is very knowledgeable and gracious as well as personable. She is businesslike and does not waste your time. She answers questions honestly with empathy. Both the front desk and Dr. Mirkin are very sweet and make an uncomforting dental process a breeze! I fear dental work, but Dr. Mirkin put me at ease and explains her work thoroughly.

After my experience, I'm willing to bet these good reviews are 100% due to the sign in the waiting area that offers teeth whitening for reviews. I took work off and showed up to the office for my 9:00am appointment and at 8:55 there was still no one there. Finally she showed up, a few minutes to 9, and since I was awkwardly standing outside the door I explained saying "Hi, I have an appointment at 9?" Her response was to snap at me "I'm not late! Its not 9 yet!" and then walk straight into the back. A while later someone else arrived, and told me that the person who had set up my appointment was new and that she hadn't checked my insurance, and that it turned out that they don't accept PPOs.

So basically, not only was I treated rudely by the dentist herself - I took time off work and drove over there only to be told they didn't accept my insurance and hadn't bothered to call me to let me know.

Dr. Mirkin performed over 2 hours of dental work on me and she had a broken eardrum the whole time. This is typical of the way she works and why I've been going to her for about 9 years. She is and excellent dentist and devoted to her clients. This was also on Christmas Eve day.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Mirkin. I had to find a dentist that was in my insurance network. So I was a little uneasy after being with the same person for many years. Turned out I didn't need to worry. Dr. Mirkin and her staff are wonderful. One very smart lady who knows what she is doing. The work she did is top rate. And the bill was even a nice surprise. Since going back to school I lost my dental insurance. I found Dr. Mirkin through groupon and read great reviews so decided to give her a try. She is a very caring, attentive dentist that truly cares about your overall health as well as your teeth. She spends quality time explaining things and making you feel comfortable. She referred me to the dental choice program which is basically a discount program for those without dental insurance. Her prices are reasonable and her services are great. I recommended her to my boyfriend who started seeing her for dental care and we will not go anywhere else now. Also, Jessica her secretary is very friendly, responds quickly to phone calls and online appointment requests and or messages. She has made dealing with this office smooth and efficient.
